Bose® SoundLink® around-ear headphones employ proprietary TriPort® technology, which delivers wide ranging sound - from the highest highs to the deepest lows - all from a design that’s lightweight and comfortable. The control module on the ear cup features active equalisation technology inside, providing a noticeable improvement to the quality of sound that’s produced. You’ll feel like you’re hearing your favourite songs for the first time.

With typical wired headphones, you are constantly attached to your device and it’s easy to get tangled or caught up. With Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones you can freely move around up to 9m away while still enjoying your digital entertainment. The lithium-ion battery is rechargeable and provides up to 7 hours of use time and nearly 200 hours of standby time. It is easily recharged with the USB cable provided.

Connect wirelessly to your iPad, smartphone or other favourite ® devices using the headphones’ ® control module. A simple press of a button pairs the headphones to your device - it's that easy. Then go to your device's ® list and choose the Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones.It’s even possible to connect your AE2w headphones to two ® devices at the same time. This way, you can switch between watching a film and taking a phone call. Simply press the answer button on the earcup and your film will automatically pause so you can take the call. Press the button again to end the call, and your film will resume on its own.

The Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones feature a multifunction button on the ear cup control that lets you operate certain iPad functions directly from the headphones. You can play or pause movies and music, change tracks and even switch between your movies and calls. There’s also volume control and a power button. The LED indicator lets you know the battery life and your ® connection status.

For phone calls, the headphones feature a built-in microphone that picks up your voice clearly so you can be heard on the other end of your call. It also works well with voice-recognition apps like Siri or Google Search.

The materials used in the headphone’s design are durable and lasting and have been tested for quality control. The headband is adjustable and the ear cushions are lightweight enough so that you can wear them comfortably for hours. The fold-flat design means that you can safely transport them in the included carry bag and securely take them with you when you travel.

Is my tablet or smartphone compatible with Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones?

The headphones are compatible with other Bluetooth® devices using Bluetooth® 2.1 (or later) specifications that support the Bluetooth® A2DP, hands-free and headset profiles.

Can Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones simultaneously be connected to two devices?

Yes, Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones can maintain a connection to two Bluetooth® devices at the same time by using multipoint technology.

Can I use Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones with my TV? Would they work with a Bluetooth® transmitter?

No. Most TVs don't have Bluetooth® functionality. Although a transmitter will technically work, there may be a distracting delay between the audio and video.

Can Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones be used for VoIP calls?

Yes. The headphones will work with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) apps on mobile devices that support the Bluetooth® hands-free profile.

Can I use the headphones with my portable or home audio equipment?

Yes. Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones can be used to listen to your favourite audio sources—DVD/CD players, digital music players, computers—with the audio cable included in the package. They will sound a bit different, because the headphones won't have the power electronics that implement the active EQ; those are built into the wireless control module.

Are these headphones noise cancelling?

No. While Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones may physically block some noise, they aren't specifically designed for this purpose and don't include active noise cancelling technology.

Can the headphones be used for gaming?

No. Most gaming consoles do not use the same Bluetooth® protocols as Bose® SoundLink® around-ear Bluetooth® headphones. A2DP is necessary for audio with the headphones, so they would only work for communications, not game audio. In general, the audio/video delay will be excessive and most noticeable in games where action and audio are supposed to be synchronised. Players of casual games with sound effects may not have an issue.
