How comfortable is the Bose® MIE2i Mobile headset? |
Like Bose® IE2 audio headphones and the Bose® MIE2, the Bose® MIE2i headset was designed for a comfortable fit, but also a stable one. Our redesigned StayHear® tips provide that stable, in-ear fit, ideal for extended wear. The material and shape of the ear tips were specifically selected, designed and tested for comfort and stability. The tips come in small, medium and large sizes so you can choose what fits best. |
How do I connect the Bose® MIE2i Mobile headset to my iPhone, iPod, iPad or MacBook? |
The Bose® MIE2i Mobile headset plugs directly into your Apple product at the headphone/headset jack. |
What type of microphone is used with the MIE2i headset, and where is it located? |
The MIE2i Mobile headset uses an omnidirectional, inline microphone. (An omnidirectional microphone picks up sound from any direction, regardless of where the microphone is pointed.) The MIE2i headset microphone is located about 10 cm below the right earbud in the black plastic housing. With the inline remote control you can adjust volume, play/pause tracks, skip forward/back on tracks, fast-forward or rewind within tracks and playlists. Depending on your Apple product, you may also be able to answer/end phone calls, switch between calls, and decline an incoming call. The microphone supports mobile communications, and you can access certain voice applications, such as VoiceOver or Voice Control, where available. These buttons are located in the microphone housing. |
How do I use the Mobile headset for listening to music or video and also for taking/ending calls? |
You can enjoy your iPhone’s music and video through the MIE2i Mobile headset as you would our regular IE2 headphones. However, when a call comes in, you have the option simply to press the answer/end button on the microphone to take the call. To end the call, press the answer/end button again. |
Are these headphones noise cancelling? |
No. While the ear tips may physically block some noise, the headphones aren't specifically designed for this purpose, and they don't include active noise cancelling technology. |
Which functions can be operated through the inline control? |
Apart from taking or ending calls, you can adjust your Apple product’s volume, play/pause tracks, skip tracks forward/backward, fast forward/rewind and change playlists. |
