The non-stick prometal-pro coating has multi-layers of non-stick coating reinforced with ultra hard minerals, making this range highly robust. You can also use metal utensils (except knives and whisks) without running the risk of the non-stick surface being scratched or damaged.

Thermospot Innovation

In the year 2000, Tefal invented the highly recognisable Thermospot. This unique heat indicator makes Tefal cookware instantly recognisable, and what set’s Tefal cookware apart from other cookware brands. It works by changing to a solid red circle when it has reached the optimum temperature for cooking, which ensure perfect cooking results without the risk of under heating or overheating. Food can than be seared at the ideal temperature for a professional chef cooking performance.

Aluminium Body

Aluminium is light weight making it great for heat conductivity; it’s also very resistant to corrosion. Because of these qualities it makes it a great material for pots and pans. The PTFE finish to this induction range not only looks elegant, but it’s non-stick so it is easy to clean, no more scrubbing, just a simple wipe clean with warm water will remove burnt on food easily.  

Coating

Induction Base

This range from Tefal is induction compatible, which means it is suitable for all heat sources including induction. Induction cookers are becoming more popular and less expensive than traditional cookers. Therefore there has been a rise in the demand for induction compatible cookware. Historically this type of cookware was expensive, but here at Tefal we have created an affordable 5 piece set whilst maintaining excellent standards of quality. You can use induction cookware on any type of hob, so if you don’t have an induction cooker now but you think might in the future, then investing in suitable cookware for this would be ideal. You can’t use any type of cookware on an induction hob, it must be induction compatible, the base must be magnetised in order for it to react with the cooker top.

Handle

On the induction range all saucepans and frypans are oven safe up to 210C, Gas 6, 400F for up to 1hr. This means that you can start your cooking on the stove and finish it off in the oven. All the Saucepans in the collection come with glass lids. The benefit of a glass lid is the ease of which you can keep an eye on your cooking, ensuring that nothing is burning or drying out. The steam vent on the glass lid allows the release of steam without removing the lid. The pans have a riveted silicone handles. The benefits of having a riveted handle is that they are extremly sturdy and more durable, a riveted handle will never wobble. It is the preferred choice of handle for any restaurant kitchen. The silicone handle also offers great comfort whilst cooking, it is soft and easy to grip.
